A compilation of everything Miller stands for....
Jamie5427: 1. You know the big one...abortion. I'm not at all in favor of abortion as a form of birth control, but I do think that it should be an option for every woman. If I were to get pregnant, I'd like to know that I have the choice to do what I feel is right for me...I can't say what that is, because I've never been in that situation, but for some people, even adoption isn't the best decision. There's no reason that it shouldn't be legal, so I am very against the republican stance that the right to choose should be taken away.
2. Stem Cell Research...again, disagree with the republicans. If we have the ability and technology to develop cures and solutions, why in the world would we not do it?? Just because its 'morally wrong'?? Techology and science aren't driven by morals, so why should the ability to better the lives of mankind be hindered by them?
3. War...the United States is not, and shouldn't keep trying to be the peace keeper for the entire world. Also, the best solution to problems isn't always to race in, blow everything up, and think about it later. Foreign relations aren't properly thought out when they're driven by republicans. The interactions with outside countries should involve more compromise and understanding rather than simply going in and saying 'we're the US, this is how we want it, so either agree, or we're not on good terms with you anymore'.
Jamie5427: 4. Social Security and Welfare...you have to have it. I know your stance on it, and while your plan is a good thought, it could never actually be implimented now and work. Do I think that welfare is abused? Yes. Do I think that the program has a lot of room for improvement? Yes. But it can't be completely eliminated...not everyone on welfare is simply choosing not to work and popping out kids. And social security...again, people work long and hard and due to unforeseen and unplanned for events, can't save for retirement. Should they be punished with an awful life in their golden years? No. You have to have some sort of aid. I don't think that I'll ever have to use any of these systems, but I do feel that it is the social responsibility of myself and the rest of the country to provide for the people that can't...specifically those that can't because of reasons outside of their control.
5. Taxes...in order to support the country, the rich have to be taxed more than the poor. That's almost common sense. If you tax everyone at the same %, you either 1, won't get the same amount of money that you do now, or 2, will unfairly overtax people that don't make enough money as it is. I plan to make plenty of money, and also understand that my contribution, because of that, will have to be higher. Its the price that I pay to live in this country and to maintain the standard of living that I'm used to. I would not be willing to sacrifice it so that I have the same tax payment as someone making 1/5th of what I do.
6. Death Penalty...pro...and in fact, I think that it should be enforced more often than it is.
Anything else you'd like to know my opinion on? I've got tons of them :-)
Personally, I like it. I agree with everything...except I'm currently on the fence regarding death penalty. Oh Miller, you're the greatest...
Only a few more days left....

So I was in the city today for a PECS workshop (Picture Exchange Communication System if you're interested). I'm also going tomorrow. Anyway, I have to take the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) which is like 5 blocks from my house to the trolley and ride that all the way to Van Ness where I get off at the Holiday Inn and listen to an 8 hour workshop. The workshop is actually really good, and it's great to be in the city...I walked around on my lunch break, ate some chicken noodle soup at Mel's in hopes of combating my never ending-coughing-runny nose-runny eyed cold that didn't let up for more than 20 minutes all day. The lady sitting next to me probably wanted to die. Anyway, the point of this entry? So anyway, I walk to my parked car after the BART ride home to find a note inside a plastic baggy. At first I'm thinking, shit, was I supposed to pay to park? Then I thought, no, it said on the website it's free. Then I'm like, is it a ticket, but for what? Then I'm like, could it be a love note from Andy? Impossible. I watched his car merge onto 580 this morning and I knew he still hadn't made it home from work. So I take the bag out from under my windshield, wipe off the rain, and open it. Inside reads the following...
I LOVE BUSH
YOU LOVE BUSH
WE LOVE BUSH
IMPEACH DEMOCRATS EVERYWHERE
THOSE MURDERING DEMOCRATS HAVE NO BRAINS AND SERVE VAINLY THEIR VANITY
Awesome I thought. My first hate mail in reaction to the bumper stickers on my car (Vote for Hillary, Don't lie, Fox News hates competition, and Impeach Bush...along with my Western Michigan University sticker, a peace frog, and of course, my DMB sticker). Anyway, I was actually excited that they sparked someone's attention enough to take the time to write me a note and place it in a plastic bag (which by the way were filled with the slob’s sandwich crumbs). Then I thought, god, how UNthought-provoking was that? If you're going to take the time to leave a note on someone's car at least make it thought-provoking or funny...or at least make it make sense. I'm anti-war...so is Hillary, so is DMB, and so is my peace frog. Didn't know I was a murderous democrat, and you'd think any idiot who saw my car would think I was a tree hugging hippie with a great Applied Behavior Analysis education and great music taste (which I like to think I am). Just proves how unbelievably stupid people are. I can't wait to bring this to work on Monday and show my democrat friends...aw hell, I'll show it to my republican friends too. I guarantee they'll think it's equally amusing. Oh, and the best part? It was written on the Four Seasons Hotel letter head. How perfect!

Thank you George Fucking Bush for killing my first family member in Iraq. My second cousin, green baret. He'll be buried at Arlington Cemetary this week. My anger is so deep and strong, I can't begin to write about it.

Sex and the City is one of the best written shows I've ever seen. Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm are up there, but I'd say Sex and the City is right up there with them. The scenes are so clever and funny...exactly how women talk behind closed doors. However, it's missing one thing. It has the cutesy, romantic girl: Carrie; the slutty, powerful party girl: Samantha; the smart, successful, realist: Miranda; and the proper, shy, elegant one: Charlotte. Where's the athletic, funny tom boy? Someone who's still a girly girl, but someone who's also one of the guys. That's where I would come in. They should let me be on the show and pay me for my idea. I think I'd fit in. The show needs a little man perspective. I could provide that. Right?

Ok, I haven't written in here for about 100 years, so I figured I'd throw you guys a bone. I'm getting so excited about going to Vegas for our 4th annual Thanksgiving Vegas trip. Miller is going to come this time...MILLER YOU BETTER GO. Wally called me a few weeks ago and told me that he wanted to come out here and go to Vegas next Halloween. I told him that unless we went on a weekend, I probably couldn't cuz we're getting married in Oct so we're already taking that time off. So he said that maybe he'd come out here this summer and we'd go. I said, shit, I'm always up for vegas. So, after I found out Miller's was coming, I called Wally that night. I was wasted, and I think I was singing Viva Las Vegas. In between verses I told him that his ass better come out here for Thanksgiving. Then I think there was something else in there about telling his grandma he'd see her at Christmas or something. IDK. Anyway, that'd be awesome if they both could come. Other than that, I have Halloween to look forward to (which is also our anniversary). I got Andy the Paul Wall CD and also found someone to hook up our surround sound, so I think he's excited. We're going to a huge haunted house Sat. night in Frisco. Should be awesomely scary! :) I wish I could go trick or treating. I can't wait to have kids just for that reason. :) That's going to be weird when I have kids. I'll like be a mom and shit, and won't be able to drink for 9 months. That's just redic. It'll be a huge turning point in my life. I'll feel like an adult. I think I can wait another 5 years. Alright, is that enough for now? Good.
